Our History
Faith & Love was born from the idea of doing things differently, by playing with fabrics, textures, shapes and proportions of clothes. The designer, Louise Cusson, marvels and draws her energy from what is simple and natural for her. The Faith & Love label was born in October 2011. With certainty and enthusiasm, she then embarked on the development of collections that lived up to her ambitions.
First inspired by what she likes to wear, she creates pieces that make her vibrate when she goes out, clothes that make her unique, confident, ravishing and sure of herself. Her motivation: to express her feminine and masculine side with a touch of chic and elegance, a signature still present in her collections today.
Self-taught and close to her seamstress mother, they work together to satisfy her thirst for dressing differently. This personal learning leads her to understand and create her own patterns, allowing her to make her first samples. With determination and hard work, she forges her creative identity and develops her natural talent over the years.
Wanting to launch her own clothing line, she decided to go back to school to train in fashion marketing at LaSalle College. After graduating, she branched out and temporarily put her brand project on hold. She then chose to explore various fashion-related professions in order to find a new passion. She gained experience in marketing, retail and styling, but without feeling the spark she was waiting for.
In 2005, she launched a small collection that was quite successful with Montreal retailers, revealing her commercial potential in the fashion industry. For over seven years, she assisted a Quebec designer, a decisive experience that allowed her to better understand her mission and the place she wanted to occupy in this world. With this experience in mind, she decided to leave to found Faith & Love.
Today, her creations reflect what has always driven her: her passion and her mission.
